Classy Crummer eyes 2016 success

She was a part of the history-making Westfield Matildas squad at the recent World Cup but if striker Larissa Crummer has her way, 2016 will be even bigger as she balances commitments with two national teams.

The 19-year-old was the youngest player used by coach Alen Stajcic in Canada, making appearances off the bench in games against Sweden and Japan.

Despite her tender years, Crummer looked right at home among elite company as the Aussies were narrowly eliminated in the quarter-finals.

Her size and skill level really caught the eye; not to mention he obvious confidence in her ability. 

Reflecting on the World Cup, the Brisbane Roar sensation said it was a life-changing few weeks. 

 “It was an amazing experience," she told matildas.footballaustralia.com.au

“I was happy to get on the field. I probably didn’t expect to get much game time but I’m glad I did.

“We were training since January so we weren’t just a team we were a family.

“We knew we would do well. It was probably a surprise to everyone back home but not to us. We knew we were prepared and were a good team and it showed in our results.”
