Carlton defender SIMON COLOSIMO has been drafted into the LG Socceroo squad which will take on Paraguay over three matches next month. Colosimo replaces Marconi-s BRAD MALONEY, who injured his knee in last week-s NSL semi final loss to Carlton, the midfielder set to undergo an arthroscopy next week. The call-up marks the return of the talented 21 year old to the National scene, his last game for the LG Socceroos against Manchester United in July of last year, when a tackle from Andy Cole resulted in his requiring a total knee reconstruction. "I-m obviously very happy, and very pleasantly surprised," said Colosimo today, two days before his Club takes on Sydney Olympic in the NSL minor elimination semi final at Olympic Park. "I was over the moon for my Carlton team-mate Steve Horvat on his recall into the National squad, and while I obviously feel for Brad, Frank has given me the opportunity to show that the hard work I-ve put in over the past ten months is paying off." The 26 man LG Socceroo Squad will take on Paraguay over three games:

Venue: Sydney - Football Stadium Date: Friday June 9 Kickoff: 7.30pm

Venue: Brisbane - The Gabba Date: Monday June 12 Kickoff: 3.00pm

Venue: Melbourne - Colonial Stadium Date: Thursday June 15 Kickoff: 7.30pm
