Australia has been drawn in Group B of the eight team tournament, alongside DPR Korea, Japan and Bangladesh following the draw at AFC House in Kuala Lumpur on Friday.
Host nation Thailand, China PR, Korea Republic and Laos are in the other group.
The tournament will be set in Chonburi, Thailand from September 10 to 23 this year.
The competition also serves as qualifiers for the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup, which will be held in Uruguay in 2018.
The top three ranked teams at this year’s AFC U-16 Women’s Championship will represent Asia in South America.
