Alen Stajcic’s Australians have lit up the Tournament of Nations (TON) in the USA over the last week.
Ahead of their final game against Brazil on Friday morning (AEST), we review the story so far for the in-form Westfield Matildas.
STORY SO FAR
The Tournament of Nations in the US has seen the Australians make a powerful statement against some powerful nations. It's been hugely impressive so far, with one game to go.
In Seattle, Australia kicked off their tournament with one of the toughest tasks in women’s world football – a clash with USA on American soil.
And after a slow start, it was looking like the match might go the way of the previous 27 clashes between these two.
The US were in their groove early but you could see signs that this Aussie side wasn't going to roll over.
Australia’s high press, game plan and technique began to show against a US side that is trying to bring through a new generation of stars.

Buoyed with that win, Australia met regional rivals Japan. And it really was the Sam Kerr show in San Diego.
Kerr, 23, smashed Japan in the first half - scoring a hat-trick to give Australia a 3-1 lead at the break. Emily Van Egmond with the penalty to make it four before a late consolation to the classy Japanese.
A 4-2 win to Australia meaning Alen Stajcic's side were now on the cusp of winning the tournament ahead of Friday's clash with Brazil in Carson.

CURRENT SITUATION
Australia
Currently on six points, a win or a draw against Brazil will give the Matildas the trophy as no team can reach seven or nine points.
USA
To win the tournament, the USA will need Brazil to defeat Australia, and then defeat Japan while overturning the three-goal difference. Australia currently has plus-3 goal difference while the USA is at 0.
The first tie-breaker if the USA and Australia end up tied on points is overall goal difference, followed by goals scored, and then head-to-head result (which Australia holds over the USA).
Brazil and Japan
Currently with one point each, Brazil and Japan cannot win the tournament as the maximum points possible for those teams is four and Australia already has six.
