The Central Coast Mariners will take on Western United on Thursday, 7pm AEDT. Both teams are already guaranteed a top-six place, while finishing first is out of reach. However, there is plenty of incentive to rise to the occasion. A win for Western United keeps them in the running to finish second and avoid an elimination final. Meanwhile, three points for the Mariners would guarantee that their elimination final will be at home.

Western United have had a mounting injury list in recent weeks, and Chloe Logarzo is among those ruled out. Meanwhile, Kyah Simon is expected to play a big role for the Mariners.

The Newcastle Jets will travel to Adelaide United on Friday, 5pm AEDT needing a win to stay in the running for a top-six place. If the Jets can get the three points they will leapfrog Melbourne Victory into sixth. Adelaide is playing for pride – they will finish bottom of the table regardless of the result – but have shown this season that they still have the capability to cause some issues.

Wellington Phoenix and Western Sydney Wanderers will play in Wellington’s Pride Game on Saturday, 2pm AEDT. The Phoenix are out of finals contention but will want to finish the season on a high in front of home fans. Their opponents will be searching for at least a point in order to secure a finals spot for only the second time in their history.

Sophie Harding is coming off a brace against Western United last week and will be hoping to finish the regular season in good form.

Brisbane Roar will host Canberra United on Saturday, 4pm AEDT. Canberra are coming off the back of two 1-0 wins and a win could see them finish the season as high as 10th. The Roar cannot finish higher than eighth, but there is still plenty to play for as they think ahead to next season.

Sharn Freier will be hoping to celebrate her first call-up to the CommBank Matildas with a goal. Michelle Heyman – who has now scored a whopping 16 goals for the season – could equal or beat the all-time season record (including finals) of 17 in this game.

Sunday sees two blockbuster fixtures that could determine the team who finishes first. Sydney FC host Melbourne Victory on 4pm AEDT in a massive Big Blue. Sydney will need a win to secure a fourth-straight premiership, while – depending on results elsewhere – Victory could well be needing a result to secure a place in the top six.

Victory’s CommBank Matildas Emily Gielnik and Alex Chidiac will be front and centre as they could be both fighting for their season, and doing their best to prevent their fierce rivals from lifting silverware. Elise Kellond-Knight and Lydia Williams have been unavailable through injury for the past few weeks.

Cortnee Vine and Jada Whyman will both have big roles to play for the Sky Blues. Their quest is simple – win, and the premiership is theirs.

Melbourne City will be the team that could rain on Sydney’s parade if the defending champions fail to beat Victory. They travel to Perth to play the Glory on Sunday, 6pm AEDT, and will be desperately hoping their cross-city rivals get the job done against Sydney – if they do, three points against Perth will give City the premiership instead.

The Glory are playing for pride, and their first win since New Year’s Eve. City, and Daniela Galic, will at the very least be playing for a spot in the top two – but they will be hoping for more.
