Speedy, strong and tenacious, Foord quickly pushed for a place in the Matildas 2011 World Cup squad despite only making her international debut just prior to the tournament.

The youngster found herself starting against Brazil in the opening match at right back and marking five time FIFA Women’s Player of the Year - Marta.

She went on to start in three more games in the tournament including the quarter final loss to Sweden, and was subsequently named the first ever Best Young Footballer at the tournament.

The defender currently plays for Perth Glory having spent the majority of her career with Sydney FC.
