Football Federation Australia (FFA) are proud to announce the Westfield Women-s under 16 squad who will today depart for the AFF U16 Women's Championship 2009 in Yangon, Myanmar.

After an intensive final selection camp, Coach Robert Hooker today announced the 20 player squad who travel to Myanmar to kick-off their AFF U16 tournament against the Philippines on 10 October.

“The Championships in Myanmar will be great preparation for this squad as we prepare for a busy 12 month period,” said Hooker.

“Of course we are going there to win but we also have a major tournament to prepare for with the AFC Asia Cup in November.”

“This group of young players are some of the most technically gifted that Australia has produced and have the ability to take women-s football to another level,” finished Hooker.
