We take a look at how the players in the Argentina squad that has been selected to face Australia on Tuesday September 11, fared over the weekend.

In England, both Javier Mascherano and Carlos Tevez enjoyed success. Mascherano played for 77 minutes as Liverpool blitzed Derby County 6-0, while Tevez played a full game as Manchester United beat Sunderland 1-0.

Javier Zanetti and Estaban Cambiasso both played full games for Inter Milan in a 2-0 win over Empoli, however Hernan Crespo and Nicolas Burdisso had to watch from the bench.

It was a quiet day for Argentina-s Real Madrid trio with Gabriel Heinze and Javier Saviola both remained on the bench, while Fernando Gago was not included in the squad.

Lionel Messi played a full game, while Gabriel Milito came off the bench late in the match, as Barcelona won 3-1 at home against Atheltico Bilbao, while Fabricio Coloccini played a full game in Deportivo La Coruna-s 2-2 draw with Valladolid.

Maxi Rodriguez and young star Sergio Aguero both played full games for Atheltico Madrid in a 1-1 draw with Mallorca, who featured Jonas Gutierrez, whom played a full game.

Getafe-s three Argentineans were all in the squad that drew 1-1 with Recreativo Huelva, with Roberto Abbondanzieri and Daniel Diaz both playing full games, while Oscar Usteri remained on the bench.

Still in Spain, Pablo Aimar and Diego Milito both played full games, as Real Zaragoza drew 1-1 with Racing Santander. Ezequiel Garay played a full game for Racing.

In Germany, Martin Demichelis played a full game for Bayern Munich in a 1-1 draw with Hamburg, while in Greece, Christian Ledesma played a full game as Olympiakos drew 0-0 with arch rival Panathanaikos.
