Two very strong starting line-ups were named by the respective Australian national Men-s and Women-s coaches for tomorrow-s historic double-header at Telstra Stadium.

Socceroos coach Frank Farina named close to his strongest line-up for the clash with Iraq, with Everton midfielder Tim Cahill (pictured right) recovering from a thigh strain to be named in the team.

John Aloisi has the chance to push his claims for a more permanent role up front, edging out in form Paul Agostino, while Scott Chipperfield, fresh from blistering strike in the last match against South Africa, comes off the bench, to grab the left wing role in Farina-s 4-3-3 formation. Stan Lazaridis also returns at left back.

The Qantas Socceroo starting eleven is: Mark Schwarzer (gk); Lucas Neill, Tony Popovic, Craig Moore (c), Stan Lazaridis, Josip Skoko, Mark Bresciano, Tim Cahill, Scott Chipperfield, Brett Emerton, John Aloisi.

Meanwhile Qantas Matildas coach Tom Sermanni has also named an attacking line-up for his teams earlier clash against Japan.

Sermanni has stuck with the attacking duo of Lisa De Vanna and Kate Gill, who did so well in the four-nations tournament in China earlier this year. Attacking midfielder Collette McCallum has also earned her first starting eleven appearance after two previous appearances off the bench.

The Qantas Matildas starting eleven is: Melissa Barbieri (gk); Rhian Davies, Kate McShea, Cheryl Salisbury (c), Lana Harch, Jo Peters, Sally Shipard, Collette McCallum, Heather Garriock, Lisa De Vanna, Kate Gill.

The Qantas Matildas match kicks at 4.00pm and will be followed by the Socceroos match at 7.00pm.
