Aussies Abroad | Kruse at the double

Robbie Kruse bagged a brace for Fortuna Dusseldorf on a weekend that saw Mitch Langerak also get some first team action.

It was a big weekend in the Bundesliga for two Australians, with Mitchell Langerak returning to the field, and Robbie Kruse grabbing a brace.

Langerak took the park for defending champions Borussia Dortmund for the first time in nine months, featuring in a 3-2 victory at Bayer Leverkusen, which sees the team move into second spot.

Langerak was solid for the side, who now trail Bayern Munich by 12 points. Elsewhere, Robbie Kruse-s excellent season continued with two goals in Fortuna Dusseldorf's 3-1 win at home to VfB Stuttgart.

In the Barclays Premier League, Brett Holman was an 83rd minute substitute in Aston Villa-s 3-3 draw with Everton; Adam Federici-s Reading won 2-1 against Sunderland; Mark Schwarzer was helpless in a 1-0 loss for Fulham against Manchester United.
