The Westfield U14 Girls team has ended their inaugural AFC U14 Girls Festival of Football tournament in Vietnam on a positive note and showing improvement over the course of the five days.

The Australians had the chance to once again test themselves against the strong Chinese and Japanese teams whom they met on day 1, but in the longer format used for the last two days of the tournament.

In the first match in the morning, Australia played China and had a suprisingly comfortable 4-0 win. Fresh from her five-goal haul the previous day against Singapore, Jessie Williams wasn't letting up in front of goals and opened the scoring. Meg McLaughlin added a double and Adriana Jones scored the final goal in what was a good performance from all 19 players that played in the match.

The final match of the tournament was against Japan, who on the first day had beaten Australia 2-0. This time around however Australia matched the strong Japan team and came away with a respectable 0-0 draw.

Further details of the matches will follow later.
