Qantas Socceroo Jade North is in line to win the Male Sportsperson of the Year Award at the 2004 Deadly Awards, which acknowledges all areas within the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community.   The finalists have been announced and this year-s nominees are among the best and brightest stars that Indigenous Australia has to offer from football and athletics to music, the arts and education.   North has been nominated alongside Anthony Mundine, Joshua Ross and Nathan Thomas.   North, was a consistent performer with the Socceroos in matches against Turkey (May) and then the Oceania Nations Cup Qualifiers (June) in Adelaide, before joining the Australian Men-s Olympic Team squad. At the Athens Olympics, North was one of Australia-s standout performers in all four games that Australia played, as they went through to the Quarter Finals.   North was also a key member of Perth Glory-s grand final winning team that won the last ever NSL Championship against Parramatta Power earlier this year.   The Deadly-s will be heard next Friday night at the Sydney Opera House.
