Langerak signs new Dortmund deal

Rising Qantas Socceroos goalkeeper Mitch Langerak has signed a new two-year deal with German club Borussia Dortmund.

Rising Qantas Socceroos goalkeeper Mitch Langerak has signed a new two-year deal with German club Borussia Dortmund.

Langerak, who joined the club from Melbourne Victory, has so far only made three league appearances for the two-times Bundesliga champions.

He recently collected his first silverware for the club, replacing injured first-choice keeper Roman Weidenfeller in Dortmund-s 5-2 German Cup triumph over rivals Bayern Munich.

Despite his lack of first-team opportunities, Langerak has continued to impress and did enough to warrent a national team call-up from Qantas Socceroos coach Holger Osieck.
