Following his late call up to the Qantas Socceroos squad, goalkeeper Mitch Langerak received further good news on Friday with details emerging of his contract extension with German super club Borussia Dortmund.

Langerak has already enjoyed two successful seasons with the back-to-back Bundesliga Champions and will have more chances to compete in one of Europe-s glamour competitions after re-signing with Dortmund until 2016.

The promise and potential of the 23-year-old from country Queensland was on show in Dortmund-s German Cup final triumph last month, where Langerak was called off the bench with an hour to play.

“A couple of months earlier in the season they spoke to me and it-s a good thing for me,” said Langerak.

“Hopefully it-s a good thing for the club, it-s something that I-m very excited about and to commit my future to Dortmund is a good thing, we-ll press on and hopefully it works out really well.

“We-ve had a lot of success in the past two years and hopefully we can build on that, it-s great to be a part of a winning team.”

Langerak was a late call up to Copenhagen for tomorrow-s friendly clash against Denmark, with Adam Federici-s unavailability through injury bringing an abrupt end to Langerak-s off-season holiday.

Not that the former Melbourne Victory shot stopper was too bothered.

Now in camp alongside Qantas Socceroo great Mark Schwarzer, Langerak is relishing the chance to train with and learn from Australia-s most capped international.

“It-s my second time to train with Mark and I learn so much from him every day,” said Langerak.

“He always pulls me aside, he gives me a lot of advice and he-s a good guy.

“It-s makes working, it makes training a lot more enjoyable when you-re picking a lot of things up from a legend of Australian football.”

The Qantas Socceroos face Denmark in an international friendly at Copenhagen-s Parken Stadium on Saturday, 2 June. Kick off is at 5pm. (Sunday, 3 June AEST, Kick off is at 1am AEST).

The Qantas Socceroos begin their final phase of qualifying for the 2014 FIFA World Cup with a clash against Oman in Muscat on Friday, 8 June.

Soon after, the Qantas Socceroos will host Japan in their first home fixture of the fourth stage of Asia-s FIFA World Cup qualification process on Tuesday, 12 June at Brisbane-s Suncorp Stadium. Kick off is at 8pm.
