Former Matildas star, Sarah Walsh caught up with several of the current team ahead of the Cyprus Cup. Here is the first 'Matildas profiles' interview, which features Western Sydney Wanderers star Kyah Simon.

What is your greatest achievement on the field: Being the first Indigenous male or female to score at a senior World Cup.

Your greatest achievement off the field: Being a role model, inspiring youth to achieve their goals and chase their dreams.

What is your major football goal: My major football goal is to win a WC and win a medal at the Olympics.

What is your major goal outside of football: To be a successful businesswomen. Owning businesses of my own.

What career do you aspire to post football: Business - Getting a feel for the avenue I-m hoping to pursue at the moment. Also to pursue a media career.

What keeps you busy outside of football: Studying, café searching, spending time with family and friends.

Favourite team to play against: The USA, they always have huge crowds, they-re number 1 and we-re always the underdogs - everyone loves an upset.

Who is your hero: My Hero when I was growing up was Cathy Freeman. She was a successful Indigenous female and I have always aspired to be as great and influential as her one day.

Which Matildas teammate are you closest to: Closest to Alanna Kennedy, we-re attached at the hip, she-s got a good sense of humour and we-re not afraid to give each other stick.

One thing you love about being a Matilda: I love the opportunities we get to travel the world, it-s such a great group of women who are friends for the rest of my life, and the chance to empower/motivate and inspire people.

Which football team do you support: I support Man united. One of my first ever Junior coaches Dave Saliba and son Jamal who I first played with, converted me as a 8 year old as I became basically a family member of theirs.

If you could have dinner with any three people who would it be? It would have to be Rihanna, Justin Bieber and my sister. I love all three of them, and my sister is crazy so she would ask them questions I want to know but are too scared to ask.

Favourite holiday destination? I-m yet to find it, but I-ve seen pictures. And the thought of a secluded island with crystal clear water, white sand and only the noise of the waves is my ideal getaway.

Most treasured possession: Other than all the materialistic items such as my Iphone, Mac Book, Kicker speakers, Diary and notebook. I have a favourite Nike bed shirt that I will probably keep for the rest of my life, so comfy and my go to.

Favourite food/meal: Probably a pear, walnut and goat cheese salad, with grilled salmon on top.

Your favourite Dessert: Warm chocolate brownie with ice cream.

What would you buy with your last $10: Probably a Skim latte if I-m being honest. Then use the change to call Mum to pick me up and hopefully get some more money ;).

Who would play you in a movie: I-m going to say Angelina Jolie. I love all of her characters in movies and it-d be awesome to have the character ‘Salt- being you.

Most embarrassing moment: Getting subbed on, being on the field for 45 seconds, going down and then having to get stretchered off straight away having torn my ACL. (Friendly game: Texas Aus vs USA - Oct 2013)
