Fox Sports will broadcast live and exclusive the Westfield Matildas- tilt at AFC Asian Cup glory in Vietnam, starting next week.

The live coverage features commentary from Fox Sports Hyundai A-League commentator Brenton Speed who-ll be joined by former Matildas striker Sarah Walsh.

The AFC Asian Cup doubles as a FIFA World Cup 2015 qualifier, underlining the importance of this tournament.

Fox Sports will air all three Aussie group matches live beginning with Wednesday-s massive showdown against Japan. The broadcast kicks off at 11.05pm on Fox Sports 3HD & Fox Sports 3.

Japan is reigning world champion and Australia reigning AFC Asian Cup champion, which makes for a blockbuster clash between the two group heavyweights. Australia is also in with host nation Vietnam and Jordan.

Eight teams from across the Asian Football Confederation, split in two groups, will contest the group stage with four teams advancing to the semi-finals.

The two best performing teams from Australia-s Group A will qualify along with two from Group B which features last year-s finalists, China, against South Korea, Thailand and Myanmar.

Alen Stajcic-s charges will then take on Jordan two days later on May 16 as they continue their bid for back-to-back titles.

The Matildas then face hosts Vietnam on May 18 in their final pool match as they look to book a semi-finals berth.

Fox Sports will continue to follow Australia-s Asian Cup bid through the finals should they advance to the last four.
