The draw saw Celtic-s lead at the top of the Scottish Premier League reduced to a point by Rangers, with McDonald-s second half strike cancelled out minutes later by a desperate Hearts. McDonald was the quickest to react after a shot was not held by the Hearts keeper and he tapped home from close range.

Another to get on the scorers sheet was Richard Garcia at Hull City. His strike just before half time gave Hull back the lead, but they also had to settle for a draw with Cardiff City.

Harry Kewell started for Liverpool and played 67 minutes, as Liverpool brushed aside Bolton Wanderers 4-0 at Anfield. Lucas Neill played a full game, as West Ham fell to a late goal away at Chelsea. Tim Cahill wasn-t among the goalscorers this week, as Everton had to settle for a 0-0 draw with Portsmouth, while Brett Emerton-s Blackburn Rovers won 3-1 against Mark Viduka-s Newcastle United. Emerton played a full game, while Viduka came off the bench in the 72nd minute.

In the Championship, Patrick Kisnorbo played a full game, as Leicester City went down 2-1 at home against Southampton, while David Carney was replaced in the 84th minute, as Sheffield United won 1-0 away at Coventry City.

In Italy, only Mark Bresciano featured on the weekend, with his Palermo side going down 3-1 to Catania in the Sicilian derby match.

It-s back to the drawing board for Nuremberg in Germany after they lost again, 1-0 away at bottom-placed MSV Duisburg. Michael Beauchamp played a full game, while Dario Vidosic came on in the 82nd minute.

In Holland, Luke Wilkshire played a full game, but had a penalty saved, although FC Twente still managed a 2-1 win over AZ Alkmaar. Brett Holman made his first appearance since sustaining a lengthy injury, coming on in the 64th minute as NEC Nijmegen lost 1-0 away at Heenrenveen. Jason Culina also continues his comeback from injury, coming on in the 65th minute, as PSV Eindhoven won 1-0 away at De Graafschap.
