Muscat Likely To Miss Fa Cup Final

Socceroo defender Kevin Muscat has seen his dream of captaining Millwall to the FA Cup Final all but disappear after being ruled out for the rest of the season with a knee injury.

Socceroo defender Kevin Muscat has seen his dream of captaining Millwall to the FA Cup Final all but disappear after being ruled out for the rest of the season with a knee injury.   While still awaiting confirmation of scans, it appears as though Muscat (pictured right) has ruptured his medial ligament and has possibly damaged the cruciate ligament.   He was forced off the field late in the first half after he was brought down by a late challenge from Sunderland skipper George McCartney in the FA Cup semi final at Manchester United-s Old Trafford ground. United are Millwall-s opponent in the final.   Muscat told the Daily Telegraph that he had definitely ruptured his medial and was not too confident about his cruciate and as result that could rule him out for up to six months.   Not only will Muscat miss the FA Cup final, but he will miss the Oceania Nations Cup that is scheduled for late May, early June.
