Nations confirmed for Women's Asian Cup 2018

The seven other nations joining the Westfield Matildas at the AFC Women's Asian Cup 2018 in Jordan are now all confirmed.

In qualification, a late equaliser saw the Philippines grab a 1-1 draw with Bahrain to qualify from Group A.

Vietnam secured their place with a fourth win from four games in Group B, defeating Myanmar 2-0.

Korea Republic joined them thanks to a comfortable 4-0 win over Uzbekistan in Group D.

Thailand had earlier qualified from Group C.

That quartet joins hosts Jordan and the top three place-getters from the 2014 tournament – Japan, Australia and China – in the eight-team tournament.

The 2018 AFC Women's Cup will run from April 7-22 next year, with the top five nations earning entry to the 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup in France.
