Neill has only played one season with the UAE Pro-League side, with the 2011 champions finishing a disappointing fourth in the league and being knocked out of the AFC Champions League in the round of 16.
Neill had been enthusiastic to stay with the club, recently commenting, "I-ve been really pleased with the way things have gone and really excited for the future too."
A return to England would seem unlikely for the 34-year-old, and there are rumours that Neill could be tempted to switch to the neighbouring Saudi Premier League or join the legion of Australians now playing in China or Korea Republic.
