Public transport for Socceroos v Iraq

All tickets to the World Cup Asian Qualifier between the Qantas Socceroos and Iraq at Stadium Australia will include entry and public transport tickets.

Football Federation Australia (FFA), Sydney Olympic Park and Stadium Australia today announced that all tickets to the 2014 FIFA World Cup Asian Qualifier between the Qantas Socceroos and Iraq at Stadium Australia on Tuesday 18 June will include entry and travel on CityRail trains, Sydney Olympic Park Major Event buses, all regular bus services across Sydney and Sydney Ferries services.

Public transport is the best way to travel to Stadium Australia for next week-s must see match when the Socceroos take on Iraq in final match of the group stage of the 2014 FIFA World Cup Asian Qualifiers.

"A win against Iraq will see our Qantas Socceroos earn a place at the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil,” said FFA CEO David Gallop.

“We have seen a surge in ticket sales for this match and we are expecting a huge crowd to pour into Stadium Australia in the hope of witnessing history as the Socceroos attempt to qualify for their third straight FIFA World Cup.

“We advise all fans to arrive early and make use of their match tickets and catch public transport to and from the match on Tuesday night.

“I-d like to thank the NSW Government and the Transport Management Centre for their support in ensuring a full rollout of public transport for this great occasion.”
