The Qantas Futsalroos will play Vietnam in the semi finals of the AFF Futsal Championships, after finishing top of Group A with a 5-1 win over the Philippines in its final group match.

The semi final will be played on Friday (8.00pm AEST kick-off), with the other semi final featuring hosts and defending champions Thailand, who will play Malaysia.

Australia made light work of the Philippines, cruising to 5-0 lead, before conceding a late goal.

Luke Haydon got Australia off to a good start with a goal after only four minutes, with substitute Adrian Vizzari adding a second goal three minutes later.

At this point Australia took its foot off the pedal and were not able to add to its goal until a quickfire double by Tuan Cao in the 27th and 28th minutes.

A goal from Lachlan Wright in the 33rd minute, made it 5-0, before the Philippines grabbed a 38th minute consolation goal.

The other group match to decide second place was a nail-biter with Malaysia grabbing a late goal to tie with Indonesia 2-2 and in the process advancing to the semi finals, courtesy of a superior goal difference.
