A special atmosphere is expected to greet the Socceroos at Singapore National Stadium on Saturday night as the venue hosts its final event.

A special atmosphere is expected to greet the Socceroos at Singapore National Stadium on Saturday night as the venue hosts its final event.

A brand-new sporting complex will replace the historic venue which will be torn down following the match and a special function which will take place. It will be a night of celebration with former Singapore internationals lining up against their counterparts from Malaysia on the "field of dreams".

Mark Viduka said the Australians were honoured to be part of such a special occasion.

"Its going to be a very emotional night for the people of Singapore and we hope that our match will be a special part of the celebrations."

The match will be the Australians final hit out before heading to the Asian Cup and their first up match with Oman.

"We are working very hard training twice a day and getting out fitness levels up," added Viduka.

"The Singapore match will be a good game for us to see where we are at."

The match against Singapore will be shown live on FOX SPORTS 3 with coverage commencing at 9.20pm AEST.
