The Victorian Men's Futsal team will represent Australia at the 2006 Hyundai Football World Championship Finals in Germany on June 30 after winning last week's Hyundai Futsal Championship qualifying tournament in Melbourne.

The Victorian Men's Futsal team will represent Australia at the 2006 Hyundai Football World Championship Finals in Germany on June 30 after winning last week's Hyundai Futsal Championship qualifying tournament in Melbourne.

The Australian qualifying event was held at Albert Park Indoor Sports Centre to coincide with the international match between Australia and Greece and was made up of teams from each of the states and territories.

The tournament proved to be a tightly contested affair with Victorian defeating NSW in the final on penalties.

The Victorian team to represent Australia in Germany is: Milton Sakkos, Michael Santoro, Aleksandar Jonkovic, Jerry Dimas, Mirza Pedic, Gary Stone and Fernando De Moraes.

As an added bonus for winning the qualifying tournament, the team will also attend one of the Quarter Final Matches of the 2006 FIFA World Cup as guests of Hyundai.
