Dario Vidosic is relishing his return to the international fold after two years without Qantas Socceroo selection.

The 26-year-old Adelaide United ace has featured in each of Australia's recent FIFA World Cup qualifiers and looks to have become coach Holger Osieck's go-to midfield option off the bench.

"It's great to be back in the camp, along with all the boys and the coaching staff," said Vidosic, who prior to appearing against Japan at Saitama Stadium had not earned a cap in green and gold since mid-2011.

"I think just the experience and everything you pick up in these camps, just to learn - on and off the pitch talking to the boys is priceless.

"To play as well and hopefully on Tuesday night to qualify for the FIFA World Cup would just be the perfect scenario and a perfect ending to a season."

Vidosic was part of Australia's FIFA World Cup squad in South Africa three years ago and is well aware of the enormity of the prize on offer next Tuesday.

Should the Qantas Socceroos overcome Iraq at Stadium Australia, a third consecutive FIFA World Cup berth will be assured for Australia, ensuring motivation will hardly be an issue for Vidosic and company.

"We haven't achieved anything yet and a poor result will jeopardise our qualification," said Vidosic.

"We don't want that, we want it to be solely in our hands and to control the fate of the group.

"We know what we need to do, we know that three points is enough to take us there and we've done well to get this far and we don't want to make any mistakes now with just another ninety minutes to go."

The Qantas Socceroos- FIFA World Cup fate will be decided when they host Iraq at Sydney-s Stadium Australia on Tuesday, 18 June. Kick off is at 7.30pm AEST. Click here to buy tickets.
