Middlesbrough manager Steve McLaren has revealed on the club-s website www.mfc.co.uk that Qantas Socceroo striker Mark Viduka has undergone a medical at the club and a deal should be signed in the next day or two.   Viduka (pictured right), Boro-s number 1 target during the off-season, attended the medical on Thursday at Boro-s training ground Rockliffe Park.   It is believed personal terms have been agreed between the club and player and Boro now needs to agree terms with Viduka-s current club Leeds United.   Viduka was the target of several clubs once Leeds relegation was confirmed at the end of last season, although Boro was favourite as it would allow him to remain in the north-east of England and not move away from his home.   McLaren is hoping Viduka can solve Boro-s problems up front, with goals hard to come by in recent seasons.   In 156 appearances for Leeds, Viduka scored 72 goals.
