The Westfield Matildas have got off to the perfect start the 2018 Algarve Cup after defeating Norway 4-3 in a thrilling encounter on Thursday morning (AEDT). 

After going behind early, Australia clicked into gear and raced to a 3-1 at half-time courtesy of goals to Clare Polkinghorne, Chloe Logarzo and Sam Kerr. 

Norway fought their back into the contest and grabbed two goals in less than 10 minutes early in the second half to level the scores at 3-3. 

But with virtually the last play of the match, Larissa Crummer's goal-bound header found it's way through a host of bodies and across the line for a last-gasp win.
