The Westfield Matildas have moved up one spot in the latest FIFA Women's Rankings released on Friday (AEST).
Alen Stajcic’s side were eighth in the rankings last month but have moved up a spot to be seventh in the world just behind Japan.
Having been leapfrogged by Germany in the previous ranking, USA is back on top after four impressive wins over the last month.
France remain in third ahead of Canada (fourth) and England which makes up the top five.
Sweden were the biggest to fall this month, dropping to ninth, sandwiched in between Brazil (eighth) and DPR Korea (10th).
