The Westfield Matildas have today entered their final selection camp for the AFC Women-s Asian Cup 2010 from 19-30 May in Chengdu, China.

The camp, to be held at Carrara Stadium-s Western Fields facilities, will consist of 28 players who will be taken through their paces by Westfield Matildas Head Coach Tom Sermanni over the six day camp on the Gold Coast.

Assisting Sermanni for the camp will be retired Westfield Matilda Di Alagich who comes into the set-up in the absence of regular assistant coach Robbie Hooker who recently became a father to twins.

Included in the squad are youngsters Teigen Allen and Caitlin Foord who have been included in the training squad along with Brooke Spence who returns to the squad following a broken leg sustained last year during Brisbane Roar-s 1-all draw with Melbourne Victory in Round 7 of the Westfield W-League.

Also missing from this camp are senior Westfield Matildas quartet Katie Gill, Heather Garriock, Sarah Walsh and Lisa De Vanna who are currently plying their trade in overseas competition but will rejoin the squad for the May training camp in final preparation for the AFC Women-s Asian Cup 2010.
