The Aussies found themselves 2-0 down inside 25 minutes in difficult conditions with torrential rain falling throughout the majority of the match.

Australia improved in the second half and were rewarded in the 88th minute when Amy Harrison scored, but it was a case of too little too late as New Zealand held on for victory.
