Young Matildas prepare for U19s Championship

The Westfield Young Matildas have entered their final preparation camp in Brisbane before they fly out to Vietnam to compete in the AFC U19 Women’s Championship 2011 on Saturday, October 1.

The Westfield Young Matildas have entered their final preparation camp in Brisbane before they fly out to Vietnam to compete in the AFC U19 Women-s Championship 2011 on Saturday, October 1.

The tournament, which acts as the qualifiers for the FIFA U-20 Women-s World Cup 2012 in Uzbekistan, will be played over a 10 day period (October 6-16) in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, in a round robin style tournament against China, DPR Korea, Korea Republic, Japan and hosts Vietnam.

The top three teams from the tournament will qualify for the FIFA U-20 Women-s World Cup 2012.

Training sessions are held daily from 9.00am - 11.00am until Friday, 30 September.
