1. Lydia Williams

Date of birth: 13 May 1988 (31 years old)
Caps: 77
Debut: Friendly v Korea Republic on 28 July 2005 in Jeonju, Korea Rep. (3-0 loss)
Clubs played for: Australian Institute of Sport, Canberra United, Chicago Red Stars (USA), Pitea IF (SWE), Western New York Flash (USA), Washington Spirit (USA), Houston Dash (USA), Melbourne City, Reign FC (USA)
Previous World Cups: 2007, 2011, 2015

Her 2019 so far:

Another year, another fine Westfield W-League campaign for Lydia Williams.

Despite her Melbourne City side failing to hit the heights of previous years, Williams was able to spark her team's late-season form although they ultimately fell short of finals contention.

The 31-year-old has been a go-to choice for most of her Westfield Matildas career and under Ante Milicic this has so far remained the norm, with the coach installing her as his No.1 goalkeeper for what will be her fourth FIFA World Cup.

Williams has kept goal for NWSL club Reign FC so far this season – where she turns out alongside her City and Westfield Matildas teammates Steph Catley and Elise Kellond-Knight – and heads to France with a reputation as one of the best shot-stoppers in world football.

12. Teagan Micah

Date of birth: 20 October 1997 (21 years old)
Caps: 0
Debut: Not yet appeared for Australia
Clubs played for: Brisbane Roar, Western Sydney Wanderers, UCLA Bruins (USA)
Previous World Cups: None

Her 2019 so far:

The former Queensland Academy of Sport player has bolted into the Westfield Matildas reckoning for the FIFA Women's World Cup, on the back of some strong form in the highly competitive US collegiate system.

After impressing in college – and having already featured at U-17 and U-20 level with Australia – Micah was called up for her first full Westfield Matildas training camp in April and was named on the bench for the match against the United States in Denver, Colorado, soon after.

Having been on the books with Westfield W-League club Brisbane Roar, she moved to Western Sydney Wanderers in October 2015 and went on to make her senior debut against Adelaide United in Round 1 of the following season.

18. Mackenzie Arnold

Date of birth: 25 February 1994 (25 years old)
Caps: 23
Debut: EAFF Women's East Asian Cup v Chinese Taipei on 20 November 2012 in Shenzhen, China (7-0 win)
Clubs played for: Perth Glory, Canberra United, Western Sydney Wanderers, Brisbane Roar, Arna-Bjørnar (NOR)
Previous World Cups: 2015

Her 2019 so far:

Enjoyed a fantastic campaign between the sticks for Brisbane Roar in the Westfield W-League, where her performances between the posts helped the Roar earn enough points to finish second on the ladder with just 17 goals conceded across the season.

Making that all the more impressive was the fact that just two points separated Brisbane from sixth-placed Adelaide United, fine margins indeed.

She was included in Australia's squad for the 2015 FIFA Women's World Cup in Canada and played in the 6-1 group-stage win over Zimbabwe at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games.

In a competitive field of shot-stoppers, Arnold has done enough to convince head coach Ante Milicic she is worthy of a spot.
