Qantas Socceroo Josh Kennedy has transferred to fellow German Bundesliga club Karlsruher SC, after an injury-plagued time at FC Nurnberg.
Kennedy made the move last week to the high-flying club, who lie in 6th place, just a point outside a UEFA Cup qualifying spot and ahead of last season-s Bundesliga Champions VfB Stuttgart.
The move to Karlsruher was easy decision for Kennedy, as he struggled for first team football at relegation-threatened Nurnberg this season. He missed all of last season, after returning from the 2006 FIFA World Cup and snapping his Achilles tendon at the first training session with his new club.
Karlsruher are in the middle of their mid-season winter break and back in full training. In the past week, Kennedy has played two half games in friendly matches.
His departure from Nurnberg, has cut the Aussie contingent at the club down to three, with Matt Spiranovic, Michael Beauchamp and Dario Vidosic, still on the books.
