San Diego looks to maintain their spot at the top of the table when they take on third-place Chicago Red Stars, while Kansas aims to extend their unbeaten run to eight games.
Following on from the NWSL one-week break, our Matildas Abroad in the USA are just over the midway point of the regular season, with San Diego Wave FC sitting at the top of the ladder at the moment.
Kicking off in Louisville, Alex Chidiac's Racing Louisville is winless in their last seven matches and comes into their game against second-place Portland Thorns off the back of a 0-0 draw before the break to the current ladder leaders, Wave FC.
Chidiac had a number of chances in the game to net the game-winner but was unable to find the back of the net. Meanwhile, their opposition, Portland Thorns, come into the game off the back of an emphatic 5-0 win over Gotham before the break.

Moving over to Chicago, last year's NWSL runners-up, Chicago Red Stars, will host Emily Van Egmond's ladder leaders San Diego Wave FC.
A big game is anticipated at Soldier Field as only two points separate the two sides going into just the second all-time meeting between the two teams. Van Egmond will be up against her former side and several familiar faces, playing for the Red Stars in 2014.
Wave FC's, and the current NWSL top goalscorer, Alex Morgan is back from international duty with the USA and will be aiming to increase her lead a the top of the golden boot leader against Chicago.
Chicago comes into the game off the back of a 4-1 defeat to Houston Dash, just their second defeat of the season, and will be out to overtake Wave FC on the ladder on Sunday morning.

Finally, Chloe Logarzo's Kansas City Current host the Orlando Pride, with the Current looking to extend their seven-game unbeaten run to eight as they face the Pride for the second time this season.
Logarzo, although yet to feature for Kansas so far this season, is back to training with her side after recovering from an ACL injury sustained in September 2021 against the Republic of Ireland.
The Pride earned a 0-0 draw with the reigning NWSL champions, Spirit in their last match, their third clean sheet of the season that saw them move to eighth on the table.
